About

Hi! I'm Connor, an aspiring graphic and web designer from Kansas. For my whole life, I've always had a deep fascination with programming and art. I tried plenty of things, from Python to Java to game development, before finally settling on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in college. There, I also gained a strong foundation of graphic design overall and how it applies to a variety of different media and contexts.

Since I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University, I've been looking to break into the industry, get some hands-on experience, and strengthen my understanding of what makes an effective design. I'm interested in print design jobs, web design, advertising and social media content creation, and UI/UX design. I've also learned to use industry-standard tools like the Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress, and Framer.

I design for effective communication first and foremost, keeping my audience in mind and playing to the strengths of the medium. I know how to make the important things stand out, help the audience find the info they need, and avoid overwhelming them. With that clear, simple base, I like to get creative with colors and shapes to leave a lasting impression. However, brand authenticity always comes first, and I make sure my designs fit perfectly with each brand's unique tone and style.

In my free time, I practice 3D art in Blender and vector art using programs like Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape. I like bold, flashy aesthetics and impactful environment design. I'm not looking for work in 3D art or illustration at the moment, but I can use these skills to elevate my designs.
